Zanskar Traverse: Manali to Srinagar via Shinku La
The one long Ladakh expedition with nothing on it closed to a foreign passport. Twelve days, 1,240 km, entering Ladakh the hard way — over the unpaved Shinku La into the Zanskar valley, past the Drang-Drung glacier, out through Lamayuru and Zoji La to Srinagar. Not one restricted border sector on the whole route: every kilometre of it is open to a foreign passport on a standard Protected Area Permit, which is not true of the Nubra-Pangong circuits most operators sell. Built for experienced riders and run as a private guided expedition.
