Protected Area Permits (PAP) are issued by the Leh District Magistrate office for foreign nationals visiting border sectors like Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso, and Dah-Hanu. We process your PAP in advance using your passport and Indian Tourist Visa copies, ensuring all official stamps are complete before you board your flight to Leh.

By Indian government regulation, PAP permits require a minimum group of 2 foreign nationals. If you are a solo traveler, do not worry — our Leh office routinely pairs solo international riders together on permit applications to satisfy legal requirements without forcing you to alter your independent riding itinerary.

All guided expeditions carry high-capacity medical oxygen cylinders, pulse oximeters, and first-aid equipment in the 4x4 backup support truck. Our native Ladakhi marshals conduct daily SpO₂ saturation checks and enforce a mandatory 48-hour acclimatization rest in Leh upon landing. We do not provide or arrange air evacuation, ambulances or hospital treatment. In an emergency our team gets you off the mountain to the nearest road head and medical facility as fast as conditions allow; the transport, treatment and any evacuation are billed to you, which is why travel insurance covering high-altitude motorcycling and evacuation is mandatory on our expeditions.

Custom private expeditions start from $1,725 USD per rider for a 7-day all-inclusive package (fuel included). Join-in group departures start from $950 USD for the 6-Day Leh Circuit and $1,250 USD for the 9-Day Manali/Kashmir highway expeditions (fuel included). Packages include freshly serviced Royal Enfield motorcycles, 4x4 backup truck with mechanic, PAP permits, hotels / glamping camps, and breakfast/dinner.

We require a 30% deposit via Wise or SWIFT to reserve your slot and process PAP permits. Cancellations made 30+ days prior to trip departure receive a 100% refund (minus bank transfer fees). Cancellations made 15–29 days prior receive a 50% credit valid for 24 months. If military border closures prevent travel, your deposit is 100% refundable or transferrable.

Under current Ministry of Home Affairs rules, foreign passport holders (including OCI cardholders) are restricted from visiting Hanle, Umling La, and Chushul due to border proximity. Foreign riders can access Khardung La (17,582 ft), Tanglang La (17,480 ft), Wari La, and Chang La (17,585 ft) — providing identical high-altitude pass experiences.

Foreign prepaid SIM cards do not work in Ladakh due to security regulations. Upon arrival in Leh, we assist you in getting a local postpaid Airtel/BSNL SIM (requires passport copy). International credit cards incur 3-4% processing fees in Leh and ATMs frequently run out of cash. Carry USD/EUR cash to exchange at authorized Leh dealers.

You must carry your original Passport, valid Indian Tourist Visa, native Driver's License, and an International Driving Permit (IDP) with a motorcycle endorsement (Class A/MC). You must also hold travel insurance explicitly covering high-altitude motorcycling up to 5,500 meters (18,000 ft) and emergency medical repatriation.

By local Ladakh Bike Rental Cooperative regulations, outside rented motorcycles (bearing DL, HP, or PB plates) can be ridden into Leh town, but CANNOT be used for sightseeing in Nubra, Pangong, or Zanskar. You must rent a local LA-02 registered motorcycle in Leh for border circuits to avoid fines and vehicle impoundment.

We maintain a fleet of liquid-cooled Royal Enfield Himalayan 450s (40 HP, EFI), Himalayan 411 LS, and Classic 350s. All rental bikes undergo 25-point mechanical inspection before departure and come equipped with hard pannier mounts, engine guards, dual-channel ABS, and USB charging ports.

Yes — our Zanskar Traverse (Manali to Srinagar via the unpaved Shinku La pass) is built for experienced riders who want to avoid the crowded, fully-paved Nubra-Pangong route. It is a 12-day, one-way expedition through remote Zanskar with genuine off-road river crossings and minimal rider traffic. It is offered as a private, custom-quoted departure rather than a fixed group date, since road conditions and duration vary year to year.
