Leh to Pangong Lake via Chang La Pass
We head east from Leh town along the Indus River, passing Karu. We then take the turn up to the steep and rugged Chang La Pass (5,360m / 17,586 ft), which is notorious for sudden icy patches and slush. After crossing, we descend past the checking point at Tangtse, spotting wild Himalayan Marmots in the high meadows. We reach the breathtaking shores of Pangong Lake (4,250m / 13,940 ft) by afternoon. We check into comfortable dome tents directly facing the sparkling blue waters.
Pangong Lake to Leh (Sunrise & Return)
Wake up early to catch the incredible sunrise over the lake, as the water changes color from deep purple to turquoise. After breakfast, we pack up and ride back towards Leh, crossing the Chang La pass once more. We stop for a hot lunch at Karu and arrive in Leh in the afternoon, ending our 2-day circuit.

⛰ High Altitude Protocol: This expedition crosses passes up to 17,580ft. We include 48 hours of acclimatization rest in Leh and carry portable oxygen cylinders, oximeters, and trauma kits in our backup vehicle.
🛂 Visa & Permits: We secure all Restricted Area Permits (PAP) and provide official booking confirmation letters for your Indian Tourist Visa application.
