Fly to Leh (IXL) — Acclimatization, Bike Allocation & Safety Briefing
Arrive at Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL). Transfer to our base camp hotel in Leh. Mandatory rest for 24-hour altitude acclimatization. In the afternoon, meet your group of 15-30 fellow solo riders, inspect your assigned Royal Enfield motorcycle, test ride around Leh town, and attend the route briefing.
Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (17,982 ft)
We start our high-altitude expedition climbing the iconic Khardung La Pass (5,359m / 17,982 ft). Capture photos at the legendary summit sign, then descend into the stunning desert valley of Nubra. Check in at Hunder deluxe tented camp, visit Diskit Monastery, and enjoy sunset riding on the white sand dunes with Bactrian double-humped camels.
Nubra Valley to Turtuk (Indo-Pak Border) & Shyok River to Pangong Tso
Ride along the Shyok river trail to Turtuk — the last northernmost village of India on the Line of Control (LoC), known for its unique Balti heritage and apricot orchards. After exploring Turtuk, we ride through the scenic Shyok river valley route to reach the breathtaking turquoise waters of Pangong Tso Lake.
Pangong Tso to Hanle & Umling La Pass (19,024 ft)
Wake up to sunrise over Pangong Lake. Ride through the remote Changthang plateau via Chushul and Rezang La War Memorial to Hanle. For willing riders, we attempt the conquest of Umling La Pass (5,883m / 19,024 ft) — the undisputed highest motorable road on Earth. Evening stargazing at the Hanle Dark Sky Sanctuary.
Hanle to Leh via Chang La Pass (17,590 ft) & Thiksey Monastery
After breakfast, start our return journey towards Leh. Cross the formidable Chang La Pass (5,360m / 17,590 ft), stopping for tea at the Chang La Baba shrine. Visit the cliffside Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace along the Indus River before arriving in Leh for a grand farewell dinner with your biker group.
Departure from Leh Airport (IXL)
After breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport for your onward flight home. Take home unforgettable memories and a lifetime group of biker friends.
